Starting Salaries (Effective March 1, 2025):
- High School/GED: $61,000
- Bachelor's Degree: $64,050
- Certified Officers (2+ years): $70,000
- Certified with Bachelor's: $73,500

Minimum Qualifications:
- Age Requirement
Applicant must be at least 20 years of age (21 by academy graduation). - Education
High School Diploma/GED or higher - Vision
20/40 corrected in one eye and 20/20 corrected in the other eye with uncorrected vision of 20/100; color blindness is acceptable if correctable with a corrective contact lens. - Driver's License
Applicant must have a valid driver's license. - Physical Health and Emotional Wellness
Must pass a physical agility test (PAT, see video below) and psychological exam - Character
Cannot have used marijuana in the past 12 months - Criminal Record
No felony convictions No domestic violence (misdemeanor or felony) convictions - Citizenship
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen - Veterans
Honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions - Background Investigations
May take two to four months to complete
