Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Empowering DeKalb County through Data, Mapping, and Location Intelligence
The GIS Department manages the county’s Enterprise GIS system, ensuring efficient and accurate mapping services for county operations. GIS data supports planning, zoning, land records, parks, transportation, public safety, utilities, economic development, environmental management, and more. Our GIS is integrated with key county systems, including property appraisal, tax billing, permitting, code enforcement, fire marshal, and business licensing. A standardized address system connects with multiple applications, including E911, to provide reliable information across departments.
The GIS Hub is DeKalb County’s centralized platform for geographic information and mapping resources. It provides convenient access to interactive applications, maps, and data that support County operations and keep residents informed. Users can explore departmental information, view current and past initiatives, and access reliable GIS data in one place. Designed to promote transparency and accessibility, the GIS Hub makes it easier to understand how geographic data is used to plan, deliver, and enhance services across DeKalb County.
