Addressing & Plat Reviews
DeKalb County’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team provides addressing and plat verification services to ensure accurate location data for homes, businesses, and new developments.
These services support public safety, emergency response, infrastructure planning, and efficient delivery of County services. This section outlines how property owners, developers, and surveyors can request address assignments, confirm existing addresses, and submit plats for review, helping maintain a reliable and consistent geographic framework across DeKalb County.
Properties in Atlanta, Decatur, or Dunwoody
For address changes, LDP (Land Disturbance Project) approvals, plat updates, or status checks, contact your City’s Planning Department. DeKalb County GIS does not manage these services for properties in these cities.

To ensure fast and accurate processing, please submit all information in digital format (Microsoft Excel). Digital submissions are typically processed within 3-5 business days.
Hard copy submissions (PDF or paper) may take 8-10 business days.
To improve accuracy, please include a site plan or layout of units within your complex. Review the Address Guidelines before submitting.
