Director Clyde Stovall

Clyde Stovall leads DeKalb County’s Facilities Management Department, ensuring county buildings and infrastructure are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. He oversees capital construction projects, building maintenance, real estate transactions, central mailroom operations, and all county parking facilities, guiding a team dedicated to serving both county employees and the community.

We strive to develop and maintain a customer-focused organization with attention to the safety, comfort, aesthetics, image,  and functionality of county facilities through efficient service delivery by skilled and responsive staff, contractors, vendors, and outstanding leadership.

  1. Ensure Safe and Functional Facilities: Maintain over 300 county-owned buildings to provide safe, secure, and fully operational environments for employees and the public.
  2. Deliver Responsive Customer Service: Provide timely, customer-focused service with clear communication and accountability.
  3. Promote Preventive and Proactive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend facility life cycles, reduce downtime, and minimize costly emergency repairs.
  4. Enhance Facility Appearance and Image: Preserve and improve the aesthetics and professional image of County facilities.
  5. Strengthen Operational Efficiency: Utilize best practices, technology, and performance metrics to improve service delivery and resource management.
  6. Foster Skilled and Engaged Teams: Support ongoing training, safety awareness, and professional development for staff, contractors, and vendors.
