Outdoor enthusiasts will find endless opportunities to explore DeKalb County’s scenic landscapes.
With more than 120 miles of trails, our pathways connect neighborhoods, parks, and historic landmarks across the region. Hike or bike the Arabia Mountain PATH, enjoy a quiet nature walk along South Peachtree Creek, or set out on an adventure through lush greenways and preserved spaces. Every trail offers a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the fresh air, right here in DeKalb County.
Arabia Mountain Trail: This trail is paved for easy access for walkers and cyclists; an interactive map will lead you to 21 must-see-sites.

Nancy Creek Trail: This 2.5 mile trail connects the lake at Murphey Candler Park to and through Blackburn Park.

South Peachtree Creek Greenway:
ADA-friendly 1.2-mile trail with three trailheads and amenities like bike repair and dog water stations.
South River Trail/M. Obama Trail: This trail is actually two trails, differing in length, but both promising beautiful river views.

Stone Mountain Trail: This group of trails offers a combined 15 miles and a large variety of terrain.

Trails of Mason Mill: A trail that offers education opportunities for groups of all ages for bird watching, health and fitness, and nature exploration.
