The Cultural Affairs division is comprised of the Rainbow Park Amphitheater and the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center. 

This division was established to incorporate the visual and performing arts such as music, art, drama, creative writing, photography, and dance. It is our goal to make culture affairs a key part of our communities through fostering innovative programming, events, and services to increase the diversity of available artistic, cultural, and historical offerings. The benefits of both facilities will enrich the quality of life for visitors and the citizens of DeKalb County.

Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center

The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center is a state-of-the-art, 500-seat theater located in the historic Candler Road district, serving Southern DeKalb County with diverse cultural and community programming. Built through a more than $17 million County investment, the facility features modern digital audio and lighting systems and accommodates a wide range of events, including performances, concerts, weddings, and community gatherings. Guided by a community-first approach, the Center supports civic groups, nonprofit organizations, individuals, and educational institutions by providing professional technical services, event support, and planning assistance to help ensure successful events.

Rainbow Park Amphitheater

The Rainbow Park Amphitheater is a vibrant outdoor facility playing host to some of the biggest touring shows in the state of Georgia. National acts such as Terrence Carson, Jennifer Holiday, Angie Stone, Tony Terry, Karyn White, Malcom-Jamal Warner, Gary Jenkins, and more have performed under the stars to stellar crowds. Nestled in a south DeKalb, the Rainbow Park Amphitheater is like no other venue. With seating for 2,000, patrons can choose seats from the venue's pristine spacious lawn or on the covered deck.
