Protecting Our Most Important Investment
The Safe Schools Program supports school communities by providing training, awareness campaigns, and emergency plan reviews. Georgia Law (OCGA 20-2-1185) directs GEMA/HS to provide school safety training and technical assistance to the education, emergency management and public safety communities of Georgia.

- School safety plan development and review, Natural disaster preparedness training, Hazardous materials response planning, Transportation emergency procedures, Weapons response protocols and Terrorism preparedness guidance
