DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews have repaired a broken water main along Clifton Road near Oxford Road. Water service is being restored to the area. As service is restored, customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing.

Customers in the area may experience low to no water during the repair. DeKalb County will provide updates about the progress of the repairs.

The committee’s objective is to create a clearinghouse for all 159 Georgia counties to share and access information on best practices for serving citizens with mental health and substance abuse disorders. This committee will work to identify best practices that take into consideration the differences between rural and urban Georgia. The information produced by this committee will help counties identify key local, state, and federal resources; establish effective initiatives; and forge impactful partnerships.

On Oct. 25, construction crews associated with Thompson Mill Water Main Replacement Project will conduct night work. The night work will take place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a minimum of one week. Normal construction hours will persist from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays.

On Oct. 19 and 20, contractors working on behalf of DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will temporarily interrupt water service to the Maple Street area to continue work on the Scott Boulevard Phase III Water Main Replacement Project. This planned outage is expected to last approximately four hours per day.
