At a recent DeKalb County Board of Commissioners’ Committee of the Whole meeting, Commissioner Steve Bradshaw proposed the adoption of the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code. “The intent of this proposal is very straight forward,” Commissioner Bradshaw said. “It is simply to provide an additional tool in our toolbox as we work to address blighted conditions on existing properties in DeKalb County.”

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a Parks Citizen Advisory Board Committee meeting on Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m. at the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Headquarters, 1950 West Exchange Place, Tucker, GA 30084. DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, in partnership with Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson, Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington and Georgia HOA Alliance will host the DeKalb and Regional Homeowner Association (HOA) Boot camp on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Porter Sanford, III Performing Arts and Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Drive, Decatur, Ga. 30034.

The DeKalb Regional Land Bank will meet on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 2-4 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/86460099932. The passcode is 752564. Attendees can also dial in to the meeting at 602-333-0032. The conference code is 722025. Land Bank meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month unless canceled or postponed.

The DeKalb County Charter Review Commission will be holding a public hearing on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. The hearing will be held in person at the South DeKalb Senior Center, 1931 Candler Road, Decatur, GA 30032. Free parking is available at the center for this evening event.
