The DeKalb County Board of Ethics will conduct its regular meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Maloof Auditorium, located at 1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur, Ga. 30030.

Efforts to improve service capacity throughout DeKalb County will continue with the launch of the Cobb Fowler South Trunk Sewer Upsizing Project. Crews will upsize approximately 3.3 miles of sewer lines. This project is expected to last approximately 36 months (spring 2025 to summer 2028), barring any weather delays.

The DeKalb Regional Land Bank will meet on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. The meeting will be held in person at 178 Sam St., in Room A3400 A and via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/84590736176. The passcode is 436320. Attendees can also dial into the meeting at 602-333-0032. Land Bank meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of each month unless canceled or postponed.

The DeKalb County Police Department will host the 2024 Youth Academy on April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Police Headquarters, 1960 W. Exchange Pl., Tucker, Ga. This is an opportunity for DeKalb County youth ages 13-17 to learn how the police department works. During the one-day in-person program, students will be given an overview of the department’s various units, including K9, SWAT, Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene, and more. Participants will also learn what to do when they encounter the police.
