N.H. Scott Recreation Center Cheerleading Registration Now Open

The N.H. Scott Recreation Center will host cheerleading tryouts on Sunday, May 19 at 2230 Tilson Road, Decatur, Ga., from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. Registration is now open. DeKalb County youth ages 6 to 17 are invited to try out for the DeKalb Diamond Eagles competitive cheerleading team. Registration is free and patrons are encouraged to dress appropriately.

DeKalb County Police Department to Host Safety Fair

The DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD) will host a free community Safety Fair on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walmart parking lot of 5401 Fairington Road, Lithonia, Ga. 30058. During the event, residents will receive free goodies as well as access to many useful resources. DKPD will also have games and music for the community to enjoy.

DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees to Meet Monday, May 13

DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024. The meeting will be held at Toco Hill-Avis G. Williams Library, 1282 McConnell Drive, Decatur, Ga. 30033. The meeting will also be live-streamed. DeKalb County Surpasses Federal and State Drinking Water Quality Standards

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has released the 2024 Drinking Water Quality Report, also referred to as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). DWM continues to surpass all federal and state drinking water quality standards, providing DeKalb County customers with high-quality drinking water.
