DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have completed repairs to a broken water main near the intersection of Saint Andrews Circle and Chamblee Dunwoody Road. Water service has been restored to the area. As service is restored, customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews and contractors are currently onsite and repairs are underway at the site of a leak in the McLendon Drive Area. Residents experiencing low to no water pressure are encouraged to contact the DeKalb County Watershed Department at dekalbwaterops@dekalbcountyga.gov or 770-270-6243.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently making repairs to a broken water main near the intersection of Saint Andrews Circle and Chamblee Dunwoody Road. There are currently an estimated 40 residences without water service during these repairs. Water is expected to be restored within the next three hours. More updates will be provided as available.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold four guided walking tours to review trail and greenway improvements along the County’s trail network on Saturday, May 4. The community is invited to help shape the future of the County's trail and greenway network through the Trail and Greenway Master Plan planning process. East Central DeKalb Community & Senior Center, the Hairston Crossing Library and The Friends of Hairston Park, have partnered to install a StoryWalk® located in Hairston Park, 889 South Hairston Road, Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083. DeKalb County families looking for socially distanced, self-guided activities, Hairston Park is a great place to start. The community can enjoy the StoryWalk® that will include picture books installed on signposts along popular walking routes throughout the park from May 1 - May 31. The StoryWalk® will feature the book “The Hike” by author Allison Farrell.
