Hamilton Recreation to Host Parents Night Out and Skate Night on Oct. 14

DeKalb County’s Hamilton Recreation Center will host a Parents Night Out and Skate Night program on Friday, Oct. 14, located at 3263 Chapel Street, Scottdale, Ga 30079, from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Parents Night Out program offers a safe, fun environment for children to spend an evening while parents enjoy a little time to themselves.

Section of Fisher Trail to be Closed Oct. 12

Fisher Trail NE, between Imperial Drive NE and Eldorado Drive NE, will be closed to through-traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, October 12, to facilitate repair on a sanitary sewer line in front of 2102 Fisher Trail NE. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

DeKalb to Partner with Faith Leaders to Distribute 5,000 Boxes of Produce and Protein

DeKalb County Government is partnering with local faith leaders to distribute 5,000 boxes of produce and chicken on Saturday, Oct. 8. DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond and the Board of Commissioners are extending a special invitation to DeKalb residents who are hosting Hurricane Ian evacuees.

DeKalb Fall Break Camp Registration Now Open

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a Fall Break Camp Oct. 7th and 10th, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of camp is $10 for a day of activities for children ages 5-15.
