DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023. The meeting will be held at Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038. The meeting will also be live-streamed. DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are working to a repair a 30-inch-diameter water main break on East Ponce de Leon near DeKalb Industrial Way. The break has been located and repairs are expected to be completed overnight.

The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management will hold a second virtual community meeting on Tuesday, June 20, to inform residents about the Thompson Mill Water Main Replacement Project. “Although we had an extensive communications outreach, we want to ensure that more residents have the opportunity to learn about the water infrastructure upgrades and how the construction will impact them,” said David Hayes, watershed director.

The DeKalb County Charter Review Commission will be meeting Thursday, June 22, at 6:00 p.m. to continue reviewing sections of the County Organizational Act. The meetings will be held in person at the Manuel J. Maloof Center,1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. Free parking is available at the DeKalb County Courthouse parking lot for this evening event.

Meadow Lane, between Dale Place and Glenwood Road, will be closed to through-traffic 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23 to facilitate the replacement of a storm drain pipe. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.
