This is an in-person meeting, held at the DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, #300, in Decatur.

DeKalb County Commissioner Steve Bradshaw announces the launch of the 2023 R.I.S.E. UP Programs’ summer cohort of young boys of color on Saturday, June 3, 2023. R.I.S.E. UP is a Young Men’s Leadership Development Program. Commissioner Bradshaw’s allocations have targeted District 4 middle and high school boys.

The DeKalb County Charter Review Commission will be meeting Thursday, June 8, and Thursday, June 22, at 6:00 p.m. to continue to review sections of the County Organizational Act. The meetings will be held in person at the Manuel J. Maloof Center,1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. Free parking is available at the DeKalb County Courthouse parking lot for this evening event.

Efforts to improve the watershed system throughout DeKalb County continue on Monday, June 12 with the launch of the Thompson Mill Water Main Replacement Project. Crews will replace 10,760 linear feet of aging pipelines. The line repair project is expected to last approximately 6 months (June to December 2023), barring any weather delays.

The DeKalb County Police Department will host Virtual Mental Health Forum. This forum will take place on May 31, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. The goal of the mental health forum is to educate our community on resources available to them and how their police department is supporting mental health awareness.
