DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has released the 2023 Drinking Water Quality Report, also referred to as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). DWM continues to surpass all federal and state drinking water quality standards, providing DeKalb County customers with high-quality drinking water.

DeKalb County District 2 and 6 commissioners invite the community to join them to discuss the proposed Brookhaven annexation. Residents are urged attend a series of community meetings to discuss the proposed annexation of neighborhoods (refer to the map for specific neighborhoods) into the City of Brookhaven. The annexation petition, which has reportedly passed the 60 percent threshold required to proceed, was received by the county last week.

DeKalb County Government is partnering with local faith leaders to distribute 5,000 boxes of 99 percent Georgia-grown fruits and vegetables, eggs, and chicken hindquarters on Saturday, June 24. “Hardworking families continue to struggle to keep food on the table,” DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond said. “DeKalb County and our faith partners are working hard to provide families relief and lessen the impact of high food prices.”

On June 22, contractors working on behalf of DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management will temporarily interrupt water service to properly replace a damaged 30-inch-diamter water line. The work will take place overnight beginning on Thursday, June 22, at 8 p.m. to lessen the impact to residents, businesses, and commuters near DeKalb Industrial Way, weather permitting.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews are working to a repair a 30-inch-diameter water main break on East Ponce de Leon near DeKalb Industrial Way. Customers may experience low to no water during the repair. Over 1,000 bottles of water were delivered to local businesses and two impacted apartment complexes.
