Current Consent Decree Projects

The Consent Decree Projects page provides an overview of capital improvement projects implemented by the Department of Watershed Management in support of the County’s consent decree obligations.

These projects focus on critical upgrades to the water and sewer system that improve reliability, reduce the risk of overflows, and protect public health and the environment. Through strategic planning and long-term investment, DeKalb County continues to strengthen its infrastructure while advancing compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.

Community Outreach

DeKalb County Engineersing and Construction Management hosted  a virtual meeting for the Sowell Estates Sewer Improvement Project. Residents and business owners impacted by the project had the opportunity to learn about how the project will impact service delivery, traffic, and community schedules.

Efforts to improve sewer service throughout DeKalb County continues on Monday, October 25, with the launch of the Sowell Estates Sewer Replacement Project. The Sowell Estates Sewer Replacement Project will include installation of new, larger sewer lines. Contractors have begun assessing and preparing the impacted areas.
