Code Enforcement General Information
Code officers enforce codes/ordinances related to property maintenance, zoning, planning, special land use, signs and permits. Code Enforcement works closely with the Fire Marshal and Police Services.
Storm water pollution is one of the biggest problems facing water resources throughout metropolitan areas across the United States. Uncontrolled storm water volume increases stream bank erosion and often results in downstream flooding. The storm water pollution problem is especially critical in the Atlanta area because 98 percent of our drinking water comes from surface water sources.
Keep DeKalb Beautiful is dedicated to improving the look, vitality, and economic integrity of our community by beautifying surrounding areas. Neighborhoods that are beautiful to look at are beautiful to live in, work in, and visit. Litter cleanups, planting trees and flowers, and landscaping projects are completed by our volunteer groups in order to create a more aesthetically pleasing County.
