In observance of Christmas Day on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, Jan. 1, sanitation service for residential customers will be based on a revised holiday schedule. The Central Transfer Station, North Transfer Station, Seminole Road Landfill, administration building, Customer Care call center, and Commercial Services will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, resuming services on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2, during normal operating hours.

Due to forecasted cold weather, DeKalb County will open the following four warming centers for residents on each night Wednesday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 13, starting at 8 p.m. Frontline Response International has been contracted to serve individuals who need assistance during extreme weather conditions. Unlike DeKalb’s traditional warming centers, hot meals, beds, and case management services are centralized at Frontline. DeKalb offers transportation services from all its warming centers to Frontline for individuals who wish to take advantage of those centralized services.
