In observance of Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 17, sanitation service for residential customers will run one day late. The North Transfer Station will be open from 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, resuming normal operating hours on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The Customer Care call center, administration building, Central Transfer Station, and Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17, reopening on Tuesday, Feb. 18, during normal operating hours.

The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections is inviting public feedback on proposed changes to polling site locations aimed at improving efficiency and accessibility. DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) will host a community meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. to discuss proposed polling site location changes and gather insights from voters. The meeting will be held in person at the DeKalb VRE office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, and will also be livestreamed via DCTV.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews will require lane closures on North Druid Hills Road, between Spring Creek Road and Willivee Drive to complete restoration work after installing a new water main. Motorists should expect delays stemming from the lane closures. Engineers and construction crews will work diligently to minimize the length of impact to residents and business owners.
