The closure of Livingstone Place, between East College Avenue and Craigie Avenue, will be extended through Feb. 28. Precautionary signs and traffic flaggers will assist in moving safely through the lane closure.

On Friday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 a.m., DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews will require lane closures on North Druid Hills Road, between Spring Creek Road and Willivee Drive to tie in a new water main. This work will take place from Friday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. Motorists should expect delays stemming from the lane closures. Engineers and construction crews will work diligently to minimize the length of impact to residents and business owners.

DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson has announced that the State of Emergency declared in response to severe winter weather conditions is now officially lifted. The decision comes as road conditions have improved significantly, and emergency crews have successfully addressed critical safety concerns across the county. While the emergency declaration is lifted, residents are strongly urged to remain cautious, particularly during evening and nighttime hours, as lingering ice and freezing temperatures pose continued risks.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently onsite to repair a 6” broken water main at 1377 Dresden Drive near Fernwood Circle and Ellijay Drive. Residents and businesses in the area may be experiencing low to no water service due to the damaged water line. Crews will have bottled water available near the repair for residents in the area.
