DeKalb County District 5 Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson along with DeKalb County District 7 Commissioner Lorrain Cochran Johnson will host a "Don't Wait, Vaccinate" clinic on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will occur at the Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Road, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038. The purpose of this event is to continue to encourage citizens to obtain their COVID vaccinations.

DeKalb Drinking Water Quality Report Released

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has released the 2020 Drinking Water Quality Report, also referred to as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). DWM continues to surpass all federal and state drinking water quality standards, providing DeKalb County customers with high-quality drinking water.

DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson in partnership with Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson and Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington will host a virtual Homeowner Association (HOA) Boot camp on June 26, 2021, at 10 a.m. “I look forward to hosting this event each year to ensure our residents are equipped and empowered with the knowledge and tools to help them be successful,” Commissioner Larry Johnson said.

Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson Sponsors Soldiers’ Angels Food Distribution for Veterans in Need

DeKalb County Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson in partnership with Soldiers’ Angels and Atlanta Food Bank is hosting a mobile food distribution event to provide food assistance to 200 at-risk and homeless veterans and their families. The distribution will take place Friday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Atlanta VA Arcadia Clinic, 250 North Arcadia Avenue, Decatur, Ga. 30030, and will be one of three events scheduled for June, August and December to benefit veterans impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections to Meet July

The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom).
