Some customers are without service due to a water main break at Briarcliff Road near North Druid Hills Road. DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have located the break and repairs are underway. Repairs to the pipe are expected to be completed this evening. The damage to the road will be scheduled for a later date.

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs, Netball America- Be An Inspiration GoGirlGo! Atlanta and Discover DeKalb Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the International Junior United States Open Netball Championship Tournament on Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Redan Recreation Center, 1839 Phillips Road, Lithonia, GA.

Crews will be working intermittently on North Decatur Road and the Emory Roundabout, Thursday, April 14 to Friday, April 29, to facilitate crosswalk repairs. Work is scheduled to be completed prior to Saturday, April 30. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is now accepting applications for numerous summer employment opportunities such as pool managers, food monitors, camp counselors, recreation assistants and bus drivers. Applicants must be ages 18 or older to apply for recreation positions. All applicants selected will be required to successfully complete a drug and alcohol screening and criminal background check prior to employment.
