DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have completed repairs to the six-inch-diameter water main on Forest Green Drive near Briarcliff Road. As service is restored, customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing.

Night work on Tucker Industrial Road at the intersection of Elmdale Drive has been extended to Friday, July 26. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. Day work will resume on Monday, July 29. A detour will remain in effect for Tucker Industrial Road through Monday, Sept. 9, as crews replace aging sewer lines. Normal construction hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently making repairs to a broken six-inch-diameter water main on Forest Green Drive near Briarcliff Road. Some customers in the area may lose water service during the repair. Residents experiencing low to no water pressure are encouraged to contact the DeKalb County Watershed Department at dekalbwaterops@dekalbcountyga.gov or 770-270-6243.

Briarcliff Court, off of Briarcliff Terrace, will be closed to through-traffic 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 12, to facilitate tree removal work. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions. The DeKalb County Board of Ethics will conduct its regular meeting on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Maloof Auditorium, located at 1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur, GA 30030.
