The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted in person at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, Georgia 30032 and is open to the public.

DeKalb County Commissioner Robert Patrick hosted a vibrant celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, recognizing two outstanding individuals for their contributions to the community. The event, held at Eclipse Di Luna in Dunwoody, honored Isabella Velarde and Victoria Chacón with the District 1 National Hispanic Heritage Month Trailblazer Award. Attendees gathered to support the honorees and celebrate Hispanic culture through music, dance, and fellowship.

Woodleaf Lane, between Vista Leaf Drive and Oak Grove Drive, will be closed to through-traffic 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, October 4 to facilitate filming for Bride Lakes Production at 2415 Woodleaf Lane, Decatur, Ga. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

Livingstone Place, between East College Avenue and Craigie Avenue, will be closed to through-traffic from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Friday, September 30 through October 14, to facilitate a watermain replacement at 718 Livingstone Pl. Decatur, Ga. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

Carter Road, between S Columbia Drive and Midway Road, will be closed to through-traffic from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, September 30 through Wednesday, October 30, to facilitate a watermain replacement at 1218 Carter Road, Decatur, Ga. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.
