DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold the First Annual Lantern Festival and Parade on Saturday, Dec. 14, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the E.M.B.A.R.C. Community Youth Farm, 1185 Rock Chapel Rd., Lithonia, Ga. This free event is for all ages to enjoy an evening of lights and laughter. The festival will feature music, a s'mores station, campfire cooking, garden tours, tasty beverages, and a Lantern Parade through the park. Participants are encouraged to bring family and friends to light up the park with radiant lanterns and create unforgettable experiences to share.

DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a Winter Break Camp Dec. 23 - 24, Dec. 26 - 27, Dec. 30 - 31 and Jan. 2 - 3 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of the camp is $10 per day for children ages 5-13. Each participant must provide his or her own breakfast, lunch and snacks. To register, visit www.dekalbcountyga.gov/parks and click the “Register Online” button.
