In observance of Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11, garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection for residential customers will be based on a revised schedule. The North Transfer Station will be open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, resuming normal operating hours on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The Customer Care call center, administration building, Central Transfer Station and Seminole Road Landfill will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, reopening on Tuesday, Nov. 12, during normal operating hours.

The regular, special and committee meetings of the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners will be held at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, in Multipurpose Room A1201, beginning Nov. 8. Signs and personnel will be in place to direct meeting attendees to the entrance. The temporary relocation is due to the renovation of the Maloof Auditorium, which is expected to last 12-14 months.

Notice is hereby given of a risk-limiting audit of ballots cast in the November 5, 2024 General/Special Election. The contests to be audited shall be determined as set forth in O.C.G.A. § 21-2-498 and shall be publicly announced and published on the Secretary of State webpage. The audit is open to the public.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A §21-2-374(b) and O.C.G.A §21-2-379.25(c), notice is hereby given that preparation and logic and accuracy testing of the voting equipment to be used in the December 3, 2024 General Runoff Election will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, and continue day to day until completed. The testing and equipment storage will be conducted at the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, GA 30032-1239.
