DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently repairing a 6” broken water main at 5100 Covington Highway. Residents and businesses may be experiencing low to no water service due to the damaged water line. Traffic controls are set up in the area near the repair site and motorists are asked to use caution in the area, avoid the area if possible and expect delays. More updates will be provided as available.

Efforts to improve water service capacity throughout DeKalb County continue on Monday, Jan. 13 with the launch of the Malone Drive Water Line Repair Project. Crews will repair 60 linear feet of 30-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP), affecting Malone Drive between Peachtree Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. This project is expected to last one month (January to February 2025), barring any weather delays.

DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025. The meeting will be held at Darro C. Willey–Administrative Center, 3560 Kensington Rd., Decatur, GA 30032. The meeting will also be livestreamed.
