Efforts to improve water service capacity throughout DeKalb County continue on Monday, Jan. 13 with the launch of the Malone Drive Water Line Repair Project. Crews will repair 60 linear feet of 30-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP), affecting Malone Drive between Peachtree Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. This project is expected to last one month (January to February 2025), barring any weather delays.

DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025. The meeting will be held at Darro C. Willey–Administrative Center, 3560 Kensington Rd., Decatur, GA 30032. The meeting will also be livestreamed. The DeKalb-Peachtree Airport Advisory Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 13, at 6 p.m. at 2000 Airport Rd., Room 227, Atlanta, Ga. 30341. DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently onsite to make repairs to a 6” broken water main on Covington Highway. Residents and businesses in the area are experiencing low to no water service due to the damaged water line. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays. More updates will be provided as available.

The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted in person at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, Georgia 30032 and is open to the public. Public comments may be made in person or submitted by sending an email of one printed page or less at a minimum font of 12 to electionspubliccmnt@dekalbcountyga.gov which must be received between 35 and 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the meeting.
