The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom). On Saturday, July 16, Commissioner Steve Bradshaw, in partnership with Clarkston Mayor Beverly Burks, and DeKalb School District Board Chairwoman Vickie Turner and board member Dr. Joyce Morley and, will host the 2nd Annual Back-to-School event with giveaways, health screenings and a $100 gift card for individuals who receive a COVID-19 vaccination while supplies last.

DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, in his role as the District 3 Commissioner and president of the National Association of Counties (NACo), will attend an event at the White House for passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Commissioner Johnson has been selected as part of an esteemed group of influential civic leaders convening in person to join President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for the celebration of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
