The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a virtual Parks Citizen Advisory Board Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 6 p.m. The meeting to discuss current park improvements and recreation projects will be conducted via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/81840270138.

Sherbrooke Drive, between Nancy Lane NE and Shallowford Road, will be closed to through-traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15, to facilitate the installation of a 24-inch storm drain at 2429 Sherbrooke Drive NE, Atlanta 30345.

Today, DeKalb County is making recreation centers and libraries throughout the county available as cooling centers due to a heat advisory. As defined by the National Weather Service's Peachtree City Forecast Office, a heat advisory is issued when “feels like” temperatures are expected to reach or be greater than 103 degrees, or when the actual air temperature is expected to be at 105 degrees or greater.
