Commissioner Robert Patrick Allocates $100,000 Towards the Revitalization of Dunwoody Veterans Memorial at Brook Run Park

Planning efforts are currently underway to revitalize Dunwoody Veterans Memorial at Brook Run Park. During a 2022 Memorial Day Ceremony earlier this year, a concept plan to upgrade the memorial was unveiled by the City of Dunwoody’s Department of Parks and Recreation.

DeKalb County Announces Application Deadline for the Tenant-Landlord Assistance Program

DeKalb County announced today that tenants and landlords have until Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at 5 p.m. to submit new applications for financial help through the DeKalb Tenant-Landlord Assistance Coalition (TLAC) based on federal deadlines. The U.S. Treasury Department deadline to obligate the Emergency Rental Assistance 1 (ERA1) Reallocation grant funds is Dec. 29, 2022.

DeKalb County to Open Four Warming Centers Nov. 12 and Nov. 13

DeKalb County will open four warming centers for residents to use overnight. Warming centers will be open in the following DeKalb County locations on Saturday, Nov. 12, and Sunday, Nov. 13, beginning at 8 p.m. Anyone staying in the warming centers must follow the county’s COVID-19 protocols that include wearing a mask, social distancing and undergoing a temperature check.

Commissioner Steve Bradshaw Keynote Speaker Honoring Veterans this Weekend

On Friday, Nov. 11, and Sunday, Nov. 13, DeKalb County District 4 Commissioner Steve Bradshaw will serve as the keynote speaker at two events honoring military men and women that served our nation. On Friday, Nov. 11, Commissioner Bradshaw will speak at the Decatur Rotary Club event, which will be from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m., and will include fellowship and lunch. The event will be held at the Old DeKalb County Courthouse, 101 East Court Square, Decatur.
