DeKalb’s annual State of the County Business Luncheon is sold out, with more than 500 tickets reserved. DeKalb County CEO Thurmond Michael Thurmond will present his 2023 State of the County address and three local business leaders and public servants will be recognized for their community contributions on Wednesday, April 26, during the program, titled “All Aboard DeKalb… Greatness is our Destination.”

The DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD) is hosting a free Community Outreach Event on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kroger Parking Lot, 2385 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur, Ga. During the event, residents will receive free goodies as well as access to many useful resources. DKPD will also be hosting games for the community to enjoy.

DeKalb County District 4 Commissioner Steve Bradshaw will host his 2nd Quarterly in the Fourth community breakfast meeting for 2023. The meeting will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Wade Walker YMCA, 5605 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain. DeKalb County department representatives will be available to respond to questions and Robert Davis, interim director of WorkSource DeKalb, will provide an overview of employment and training resources.
