The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business and to consider voter challenges will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted in person at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, Georgia 30032 and is open to the public. Public comments may be made in person or submitted by sending an email of one printed page or less at a minimum font of 12 to electionspubliccmnt@dekalbcountyga.gov which must be received between 35 and 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the meeting.

The 36th Annual DeKalb County Senior Olympic Games will be held for individuals aged 50 and older, May 5 – May 16. The kickoff for the games will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 5 at Exchange Intergenerational Recreation Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur, Ga. 30034. Registration starts today, April 1. The Olympic-style sports festival will include free-throw basketball, bowling, track and field, billiards, swimming, table tennis, line dancing, water volleyball and more.

Efforts to improve the watershed system throughout DeKalb County continue Monday, April 7, with the launch of the Gravity Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement Project. Crews will replace approximately 1,230 feet of gravity sewer main on Keheley Drive between Windell Drive and Melody Lane. This sewer improvement project is expected to last approximately four months (April 2025 to August 2025), barring any weather delays.
