The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will participate virtually in the Atlanta Science Festival on March 13-27, 2021. DeKalb Park Ranger’s will offer a virtual ranger roundtable and two self-guided programs. The Atlanta Festival is dedicated to bringing people together through the wonder of science and participants will experience over 80 virtual, self-guided and outdoor events to enjoy.

The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections will hold a special called meeting on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering certification of the results of the runoff election held on March 9, 2021. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom). Simultaneous public access to the meeting will be available via livestream on DCTV’s UStream channel https://video.ibm.com/channel/dctv-channel-23.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, March 31, at 6 p.m., to discuss the master plan for Intrenchment Creek Park, 2055 Bouldercrest Road, Atlanta, GA 30316. The meeting will discuss future improvements and plans for the property via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/86804734125.

To qualify as a site, 50 percent of children served must meet the income guidelines for free- and reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are members of households that receive food stamp benefits or Aid for Dependent Children (AFDC) assistance automatically qualify. Funding for the Summer Food Service Program is provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and targets children up to age 18.
