DeKalb County Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson will host a town hall for residents to provide a progress report on District 7 initiatives currently established, those in development and those estimated for the near future. The DeKalb County District 7 First Quarter Town Hall will take place Thursday, March 11, at 6 p.m. and will take place virtually on Zoom.

DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom). DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson was among those honored when the Asian Americans Advancing Justice–Atlanta virtually hosted its Tenth Annual Asian American Advocacy Day, with the theme of #AAPIRising: The New South. Asian American Advocacy Day highlighted the legislative advocacy of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and brought together elected officials for relationship building and learning opportunities.

The DeKalb Human Services Department will host a series of virtual Lunch & Learn webinars for the community, starting March 1, 2021, to provide information that will connect individuals and families to needed services that are available in DeKalb County. Participants will learn about the department’s many community partners as well as the services that they offer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
