DeKalb to Offer $50 for Vaccinations at South DeKalb Mall

DeKalb County Government is giving away $50 prepaid debit cards as incentives for the first 100 people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday, July 31. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., DeKalb County Board of Health, MedCura Health and DeKalb County Fire Rescue will administer voluntary COVID-19 vaccinations to residents 12 years of age and older at The Gallery at South DeKalb, 2801 Candler Rd., Decatur, GA 30034.
Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg Library to Reopen Aug. 6

The Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg Library will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m., after temporarily closing for renovations. Completed by C.T. Darnell Construction, renovations include an updated floor plan, HVAC upgrade, all new furnishings and new restrooms.
South McDonough Street Lane Closure Begins on Aug. 2

On Aug. 2, a portion of the Northbound lane along South McDonough Street, between W. Davis Street and W. Hancock Street, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., while crews work to rehabilitate 445 linear feet of ductile-iron sewer pipe. This section of S. McDonough Street will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

This section of South Columbia Drive will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
