The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a virtual Parks Citizen Advisory Board Committee meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. The meeting to discuss current park improvements and recreation projects will be conducted via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/85946976280.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a virtual webinar on Wednesday, Nov.17, at 6 p.m. The webinar will provide guidance for future improvements and developments for the Mason Mill Park Master Plan. The community is invited to participate and offer input regarding the master plan via Zoom at https://dekalbcountyga.zoom.us/j/81210208284.

DeKalb County voters are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their voting options as the Nov. 2 General/Special Municipal Election approaches. “We’ve experienced a seamless advance voting period and are expecting the same for Election Day,” said Twyla Hart, interim director of DeKalb VRE. “We encourage all voters to exercise their constitutional right and make their vote count.”

The World Series will be played at Truist Park this weekend starting on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021. Due to this event, a surge in aircraft traffic at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport is expected. Residents around the area may notice an increase in traffic throughout the entire weekend, including the late-night hours. The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at noon. This meeting will be conducted via teleconference (Zoom). Simultaneous public access to the meeting will be available via livestream on DCTV’s UStream channel at https://video.ibm.com/channel/dctv-channel-23.
