DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023. The meeting will be held in person at Stone Mountain-Sue Kellogg Library, 952 Leon Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. The meeting will also be live-streamed. The DeKalb County Charter Review Commission will be meeting Thursday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in person at the Manuel J. Maloof Center,1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. Free parking is available at the DeKalb County Courthouse parking lot for this evening event.

DeKalb County Super District 7 Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson is featured today in a New York Times article detailing how communities across the United States, including DeKalb County, have addressed the proliferation of small box discount retail stores (SBDRS) in their neighborhoods.

DeKalb County Super District 7 Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson has been selected as a member of the Georgia WIN List’s 2023 WIN Leadership Academy (WLA). The Georgia WIN List is a grassroots political action committee dedicated to changing the face of power in the state by supporting progressive Democratic women through recruiting, training, supporting, electing, and re-electing those who serve as effective advocates for families and women.
