The DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD) will host a free community Safety Fair on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walmart parking lot of 5401 Fairington Road, Lithonia, Ga. 30058. During the event, residents will receive free goodies as well as access to many useful resources. DKPD will also have games and music for the community to enjoy.

DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond’s eighth and final State of the County address business luncheon is sold out, with more than 650 tickets purchased for the event on Thursday, May 2, 2024. CEO Thurmond will present his 2024 State of the County address titled “Lessons Learned” and will also share his vision for DeKalb and the state of Georgia.
