DeKalb County Warming Centers to Open on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 9 and 10

Due to forecasted cold weather, DeKalb County will open five warming centers for residents on Tues., Jan. 9, and Wed., Jan. 10, starting at 8 p.m. to use. Anyone staying in the warming centers must follow the county’s COVID-19 protocols that include wearing a mask, social distancing and undergoing a temperature check.

Commissioner Ted Terry (D-District 6) has advanced his Green New Deal agenda with the passage of the Cottage Court Ordinance, which amends the existing DeKalb County Zoning Ordinance to allow for smaller homes to be built on smaller lots, sustainably increasing affordable housing stock.
