DeKalb County has four warming centers open for residents to use in the following locations 24 hours a day beginning 8 a.m. Sat., Jan 20, through 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21. In addition, DeKalb County will continue to make available four overnight warming centers for residents on Thurs, Jan.18, through Mon., Jan. 22, starting at 8 p.m. to use at the following locations with special transportation provided each morning to the above specified 24 Hour Warming Center locations.

DeKalb had previously been recognized at the Bronze level.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will temporarily close the golf courses located at the Sugar Creek Golf and Tennis Center and the Mystery Valley Golf Club now until next week due to cold weather conditions. All tennis courts and driving ranges at both facilities will remain open to the public.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently onsite assessing a water leak at the intersection of North Druid Hills and Spring Creek Road. The southbound lane at this intersection is currently closed. Traffic controls are in place and motorists traveling in the area should exercise caution and expect delays.
