DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews continue to repair a 36” broken water main at 3124 Midway Road. There are currently no reported water outages. Customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing. Traffic controls are in place as the repairs are being made.  Motorists are asked to please avoid the area if possible and expect traffic delays.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are currently onsite working to repair a 36” broken water main at 3124 Midway Road. Customers in the area may experience interruption of water service due to the damaged water line. The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections (DeKalb BRE) will hold a Special Called Meeting on Friday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. for the purpose of conducting a pre-certification review of precinct results as required by State Election Board Rule 183-1-12-.12. The DeKalb BRE will hold their Scheduled Meeting on Monday, Dec. 8 at noon for the purpose of conducting normal business and certifying the runoff election results.

DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) is reminding voters about the Tuesday, Dec. 2 runoff elections. “We are reminding voters to finish this election cycle strong in DeKalb County and take part in the runoff elections in three contests,” said VRE Director Keisha L. Smith. “We encourage voters who are eligible to cast a ballot in the runoff election contests but who may not have voted during the early voting period or by absentee ballot, to make a plan to vote on Election Day.”

As the result of the infrastructure upgrades being completed on Bend Creek Drive, please be advised of the following road closures starting Dec. 1 through Dec. 31. Bend Creek Road is closed at the intersections of Bend Creek Way and Dunwoody Club Drive. Detour signage will be installed to direct traffic around the affected areas. These dates are subject to change based on weather conditions.
