DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews have completed repairs to a six-inch-diameter water main in the area of Clifton Road near Oxford Road. Crews are also assessing the water system in the area. Any residents in the area that may experience low to no water pressure are asked to contact the DeKalb County Watershed Department at 770-270-6243.

The DeKalb County Police Department is hosting a Senior Safety Summit on November 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Shy Temple CME Church, 2030 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur 30035.  A free breakfast will be served at 9:30a.m. DKPD will be joined by the Clerk of Superior Court as well as the DeKalb County Board of Health.

A section of Tarian Drive will close to through-traffic beginning Monday, Oct. 30 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The closure, which is part of the Alameda Trail Water Line Replacement Project, will be in effect Monday through Friday for approximately four weeks. Signs and flaggers will be in the area during the road closure to advise motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a third public master planning meeting Wednesday, November 8, at 6 p.m. at the Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Dr. Decatur, Ga. The community is invited to attend and provide input on the upcoming plans.

The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs, the Path Foundation and Mercer University will hold a third public meeting to discuss the system of trails at Mercer University Thursday, November 2, at 6:00 p.m. at the Embry Hills United Methodist Church, 3304 Henderson Mill Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30341. The meeting will take place in the main sanctuary.
