The DeKalb-Peachtree Airport Advisory Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 11, at 6 p.m. at 2000 Airport Rd., Room 227, Atlanta, Ga. 30341.

The DeKalb County Police Department is hosting a One Stop Shop Hiring event on March 9, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1950 W. Exchange Place, Tucker, Ga. 30084. Candidates will have the opportunity to complete the hiring process and potentially walk away with a conditional offer. Maximum starting salary for certified officers is $62,164 and $57,750 for non-certified individuals.

East Ponce de Leon Avenue, between Grove Place and north of DeKalb Industrial Way, will experience lane closures through July 2024 as crews work to replace aging water mains. The work is part of the Scott Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project Phase II. Lane closure and detour signs have been placed in the area to advise motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

A partial lane closure will occur on Houston Mill Road, between Gatewood Road Northeast and Clifton Road, beginning 9 a.m. Monday, March 4, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 5. The closure is part of a small-diameter lining project to improve sewer systems in the community.

DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs will hold a public meeting to present a review of the master plan for the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Rd., Stonecrest, Ga. 30038.
