DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections Expands Weekend Voting Options to Include Sunday Voting

The DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) Board recently approved the expansion of voting options during the upcoming election. DeKalb voters now have two Sunday advance voting options on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24., noon until 5 p.m. on both days at all designated Advance Voting locations.

Airport Advisory Board to Meet Virtually October 11

DeKalb Offers $100 for Vaccinations at Stonecrest Mall on Saturday, Oct. 2

DeKalb County will give a $100 prepaid debit card to everyone who receives a COVID-19 vaccination on Saturday, Oct. 2. The vaccination event will feature guest appearances by actor/comedian Chris Tucker and renowned gospel singer Dottie Peoples.

DeKalb County’s Exchange Intergenerational Recreation Center is partnering with the Georgia Spartans to host the Annual Striding for a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk and a Family Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 16, located at 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30034, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

DeKalb, MARTA Partner to Encourage Vaccinations

Today, DeKalb County Government, in partnership with MARTA, launched its “Get Vaxxed DeKalb” media campaign encouraging residents to get the COVID-19 vaccination. A bus wrapped with a special artwork promoting the “Get Vaxxed DeKalb” messaging, along with t-shirts and baseball caps, were unveiled today in Decatur.
