The regular, special and committee meetings of the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners will be held at 178 Sams Street, Decatur, in Multipurpose Room A1201, beginning Nov. 8. Signs and personnel will be in place to direct meeting attendees to the entrance. The temporary relocation is due to the renovation of the Maloof Auditorium, which is expected to last 12-14 months. The Sams Street location features free public parking, with additional parking on and near East Freeman Street.

Notice is hereby given of a risk-limiting audit of ballots cast in the November 5, 2024 General/Special Election. The contests to be audited shall be determined as set forth in O.C.G.A. § 21-2-498 and shall be publicly announced and published on the Secretary of State webpage. The audit is open to the public.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A §21-2-374(b) and O.C.G.A §21-2-379.25(c), notice is hereby given that preparation and logic and accuracy testing of the voting equipment to be used in the December 3, 2024 General Runoff Election will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, and continue day to day until completed. The testing and equipment storage will be conducted at the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, GA 30032-1239.

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews repaired a broken 12-inch-diameter water main on Vermack Road at approximately 12:15 p.m. Water pressure is currently being restored. As service is restored, customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing.

The closure of Livingstone Place, between East College Avenue and Craigie Avenue, will be extended through Nov. 30. Crews will continue construction activities associated with the Scott Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project Phase III. Motorists should expect delays stemming from the road closure. Precautionary signs and traffic flaggers will assist in moving local traffic safely around the road closure.
