DeKalb County’s Hamilton Recreation Center will host a Teen Scene Gamers Edition program on Friday, Oct. 21, located at 3263 Chapel Street, Scottdale, Ga 30079, from 7 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This free program is for youth ages 13 - 16. The program will include games, food, music and more. Pre-Registration is limited this year and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

DeKalb County’s Hamilton Recreation Center will host a Parents Night Out and Skate Night program on Friday, Oct. 14, located at 3263 Chapel Street, Scottdale, Ga 30079, from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The Parents Night Out program offers a safe, fun environment for children to spend an evening while parents enjoy a little time to themselves.

Fisher Trail NE, between Imperial Drive NE and Eldorado Drive NE, will be closed to through-traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, October 12, to facilitate repair on a sanitary sewer line in front of 2102 Fisher Trail NE. Road closure and detour signs will be placed in the area during the road closure period advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.

DeKalb County Government is partnering with local faith leaders to distribute 5,000 boxes of produce and chicken on Saturday, Oct. 8. DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond and the Board of Commissioners are extending a special invitation to DeKalb residents who are hosting Hurricane Ian evacuees.
