The DeKalb County Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a special called meeting of the Executive Committee on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to consider approval of a mural at Clarkston Library. The meeting will be held at DeKalb County Public Library Darro C. Willey-Administrative Center, 3560 Kensington Road, Decatur, Ga. 30032. The meeting will also be live-streamed via Zoom. DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond has appointed Carina Swain as the county’s E-911 director. A public safety professional with more than 16 years of experience, Swain worked for the Atlanta Police Department from 2019 to 2023, most recently serving as an E-911 Communications shift manager. From 2016 to 2019, Swain worked for Fulton County Emergency Services as an E-911 Communications senior supervisor.

The DeKalb County Board of Ethics will hold an Ethics Forum on Thursday, April 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Ethics Forum will be held at 178 Sam’s Street Decatur, Ga. 30030. The DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections meeting for the purpose of conducting its normal monthly business will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. This meeting will be conducted in person at 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30032.
