Our staff brings together experienced communicators, producers, videographers, and storytellers who work collaboratively to highlight County services, share community news, and showcase the people and programs that make DeKalb stronger. Diamond Miller Lewis
Emmy® Award-Winning News Director
Education: M.S., Columbia University; B.A., Spelman College.

Diamond leads DCTV as one of the youngest news directors in the U.S., transforming it into an award-winning station. She has nearly 15 years in TV news, including work with ABC’s World News Tonight, producing commercials/PSAs, and Usher’s Hurricane Katrina Relief promo.
AvivA Hoffmann
Producer, Reporter, Writer
Background: Former TV journalist with WSB, WXIA, WGCL, WMAZ, WLTX; college instructor.
Education: M.A., University of South Carolina; B.A., College of Charleston.

With DCTV since 2005, AvivA produces and reports on county services, programs, and events. She hosts The Furry Files, reports for Inside DeKalb, and produces the Emmy®-nominated Let’s Talk DeKalb. She also manages public access channel DeKalb 25, writes press releases, and plans county events.
Mekel Blackwell

Mekel is an award-winning photojournalist with 20+ years in major market media, joining DCTV in 2011 after 12 years with CBS-TV 46, helping the team earn 20+ national awards, including an Emmy® nomination.

2006 Emmy® Award Winner The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) honored DCTV with its first Emmy® for "Outstanding Achievement in Television Programming Excellence for Special Events Coverage" for the 67th edition of "Inside DeKalb," featuring coverage of Coretta Scott King's funeral services.
2006 NATOA "Station of the Year" DCTV became the first station on the East Coast to receive this honor in its budget category, beating cable stations across the nation.
2006 DeKalb County Proclamation The Board of Commissioners proclaimed October 10, 2006, as "DCTV Day" in DeKalb County, recognizing DCTV as the leading media outlet for all county departments.
