Efforts to improve the watershed system throughout DeKalb County continue with the design of the Doolittle/Blue/Sugar Creeks Trunk Sewers Upsizing Project.

The county will host a Public Information Open House event about this project 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, at DeKalb County Library Flat Shoals Branch 4022 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, GA 30034.

The Doolittle/Blue/Sugar Creeks Trunk Sewers Upsizing Project will address repeat sanitary sewer overflow areas and help meet future sewer demands for the next 50 years. Construction is expected to begin in late 2025 and last until early 2027, barring any unforeseen circumstances and weather delays.
